Swedish public website accessibility guidelines

WebPublish makes it possible to create reader-friendly websites. We believe that information should be presented in a fashion that is clear and readable for all Internet users, independent of any computer aids the visitors are using. Therefore, we have developed WebPublish according to strict guidelines.

The former Government Agency for Swedish Administrative Development developed management guidelines for website usability and accessibility that have set the standard for creating public websites. The guidelines are publicly known as "24-timmarswebben" ('The 24 hour web') and contain specific requirements for web publishing tools, and WebPublish has been developed in line with these requirements.

This means that WebPublish creates a code that follows specified web standards and that many different types of aided Internet users are able to access its contents. One such example is that ‘tables’ are not used in the layout template, but rather are published automatically as hierarchical grids. This ensures that each page follows a uniformed grid, which assists users using page-reader aids.
